Chet

Chet, while a lovely organism, has been defunct for good number of years now. Sadly, it looks like Chet may not return for many years, if ever at all. I’ve gone ahead & done some editing of the site. You are welcome to peruse everything, and the music remains for your enjoyment, but all signups and commenting has been disabled. Feel free to get in touch with me via jeff@chetband.com if you have any questions about the group.

So I realized that this website has been quiet for a LONG time. Apologies, but in case anybody missed it, the band is on indefinite hiatus, as Will & Joe have moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue their careers. Matt is currently absorbed with some orchestral projects & entrepreneurial pursuits, & I’m just trying to finish up with school.

That happens to entail that Chet album I’ve spoken of in the past. I’ve gotten to a point where I can resume pursuing that project, so I’ll try to keep this more updated on that whole affair. To any who’ve just discovered Chet (a check of the site’s logs says there’s a few of you) welcome!

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to see us, we definitely appreciated it. Made friends with an excellent new band, The Ascetic Junkies, who opened for us.

Also, on the recording front, we recorded three more songs this past Sunday morning & Monday night, & will be finishing those up as well as the three songs recorded over the winter as soon as possible, so keep checking back!

Last night at the Paradise Lounge rocked hard! Thanks again to everyone who came out, we hope to see all of you, as well as those who couldn’t make it, at the Revolution Rock Bar this Wednesday.

Twice the fun! Chet will be at the Paradise Lounge this coming Sunday, and the Revolution Rock Bar this Wednesday. Details above, but the Paradise gig is 18+, so all of you who haven’t been able to come see Chet before now, come on out!

So I’m sure you’ve noticed that the gigs calendar has moved, and is now at the top of this page, the better for you to see when we’ll be rocking some socks off. We’ve got three shows coming up in the next two months, so please if you’re around Boston, come on out & hang with us!

On another front, we’re hard at work recording the first few tracks for an upcoming release, which is as-yet untitled. We’ll be reentering the studio later next month to lay down some basics for more tracks. Of course, I’ll keep you all updated as we progress. Cheers!

I’m sure you can see that things are slightly re-arranged here at chetband.com, hopefully all of you like the change. As for new shows, you can see above that we’ll be playing at the Revolution Rock Bar in February and TT the Bear’s Place in March.

On another note, we’re hard at work recording an album, so keep an eye out for some updates about that, and one or two tracks may show up here to whet your appetite.

So Chet had a small break over the winter holiday as we all visited family & had time off from school. I (Jeff) have been hard at work booking shows so y’all can come on out & enjoy some Chet. I’ll be updating the upcoming shows area on the music page as often as possible.

As for anyone who was planning on coming out to the Revolution Rock Bar show, apologies that that was canceled so last-minute; I’m in the midst of booking another show there soon, so stay tuned!
